The process of expansion is dependent on the size and quantity of honeycomb core.There are two main methods of expansion: One way is to pull by hands,the other is machine expansion.
Hands expansion
When the needed aluminum honeycomb with lower quantities,large cellsize or thin slice,it could be used with hands expansion.The skilled workers hold each end with arms open, and pull the honeycomb core slice till most honeycomb cells become hexagonal shape. Just like the video shows.
Machine expansion
When the needed aluminum honeycomb with higher quantities,smaller cellsize or higher densities,it could be used with machine expansion.In this way what you need do is just follow the machine instruction,and make some adjustments where the shape is not ok.
